Each June 16 is remembered for its pivotal historical relevance in our lives today. The 1976 student uprising in resistance to the apartheid system of education is a landmark in the changes to education in South Africa.
The day is traditionally celebrated with a prayer from a nervous Grade 4 Preppie, followed by musical items by DSG, Prep and College. Meaningful dances and a guest speaker end off a morning on Lower Field.
