I was born and raised in the beautiful farming area of the Letsitele Valley in Tzaneen, Limpopo. With family from Addo, the Eastern Cape has always been a part of my life with many wonderful holidays in Kenton-on-Sea. I went to DSG (as did my gran, aunt and cousins) for high school and then went to Stellenbosch to study Education. I’m currently completing my honours in Learning Support through NWU.
I met Simon Amm while we were still at school and moved to their family farm in Salem in 2016.
I was introduced to Debbie Lowe, who assisted me with finding my feet in teaching and under the mentorship of Heidi Fowlds, Sharon Lister and Debbie, I received a post at Junior Prep.
I have loved the last five years of teaching and I learn something new every day!
Simon and I were married in 2018 and started our family in 2020, when our son arrived. Although he arrived rather early, he has been the biggest blessing in our lives, adding A LOT of chaos as well!
Henry Andrew Amm was named after a great great uncle on the Amm side and his second name is after my dad and my grandfather. If the chaos wasn’t enough, we are currently expecting our second little boy in September this year. We feel so blessed to be raising a family
surrounded by special Eastern Cape schools, friends and family.
