Dear Parents,
A huge heartfelt thank you, to all those who purchased raffle tickets. All 600 tickets were sold, and we still had a waiting list of people wanting tickets. As you are all probably aware, rowing is an extremely costly sport, so this will go a long way in helping towards funding much needed equipment, which assists both schools in remaining to be competitive.
The draw took place this past Saturday at the Highlander under the scrutiny of the DSG's independent auditors, Brand, Stoltz and Grobler. The prize, the equivalent of one year's boarding and tuition at St Andrews College, worth R148 200, was drawn by Margie Keeton, the Chairlady of the DSG Council and won by Roy Slack.
Roy has decided to donate it back to the school for Rowing and School Development Projects. A wonderful and extremely generous gesture!
We will definitely be running this project again next year and look forward to your continued support.
