The outdoors have a lot to teach us – and not just about nature and lack of WiFi. Each grade makes a journey of some sort during the year that draws the children out of their comfort zones and into spaces where they have room to grow, to learn and to find themselves stronger, more courageous and able to handle a little more discomfort than they previously thought they could. This year, our Junior Prep Grade 1s ventured to the Kenton-On-Sea beach to explore tidal pools and complete team building exercises. The Grade 2s journeyed further afield to a farm in Bedford to hike in the veld, swim in a reservoir and ride on quad bikes.
The Grade 3s abseiled off bridges, leopard crawled through mud, learnt to shoot a pellet gun and played `Stalk the Lantern’ at night.
