Piping Hot!

St Andrew’s College competed in a mass band gathering in Johannesburg over the weekend and it was wonderful to see many Old Preppies among the competitors – and several of their tutors playing professionally for larger bands.
Here, tutor and Old Preppie David Fick (2011), who began his own piping career at Prep, is seen with his two former Prep pupils, who are now in Grade 9 at St Andrew’s College and still loving their pipes! Justin Chauke and Stuart Stern began chanter lessons while still at Prep and were competing with the St Andrew’s College Pipe Band.
