Memory Hall was transformed into a wild, leafy place last week, full of colourful characters, sadistic penguins, hilarious hunted creatures and the rest of our Prep family tribe. The Grade 7 Preppies thrilled young audiences, school pupils of varying ages, parents and all those with a love of joy, music, laughter and adventure in our four packed-out performances of Madagascar – A Musical Adventure JR.
The cast was full of young and rising talent who surprised us all with their skill and ingenuity. The show was fun, relevant and highly interactive, keeping the audience engaged at every turn, where the boys brought the beloved and well-known characters to life.
The whole ensemble moved and danced together like a well-oiled machine, with teamwork evident after many months of practice by all.
Keeping an audience engaged, particularly in today’s fast-paced world of entertainment, is a challenge, but the boys did not disappoint. We had them clapping, singing and cheering along, especially ‘I like to move it, move it!” There was plenty of humour in the production for all ages.
